Before pursuing a career in dentistry, Dr. Shin earned his Bachelor of Science degrees in both Microbiology and Business Marketing from The Ohio State University. His strong academic background led him to the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where he achieved his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree, graduating Magna Cum Laude. His academic excellence laid a solid foundation for his continued growth in the dental field, where he has continually sought out advanced training and educational opportunities.
Dr. Shin’s commitment to excellence in dental care is evident through his extensive advanced training. He is currently an Extern at The Midwest Implant Institute and a resident in the prestigious Jacksonville University Oral Implantology Program, where he is working toward earning his master’s degree to become a recognized specialist in dental implants. He also completed IV sedation training at Miami Valley Hospital, enhancing his ability to provide comprehensive and comfortable care. Throughout his career, Dr. Shin has dedicated countless hours to continuing education, further refining his skills in areas such as implant dentistry, aesthetic excellence through minimally invasive veneers, Botox and fillers, TMD therapy, myofascial pain management, periodontal surgeries, endodontics, and he is also certified in Invisalign. His commitment to staying at the forefront of the field ensures his patients receive the highest quality care.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Dr. Shin enjoys a fulfilling home life. He loves spending quality time with his wife, son, and daughter, cherishing family moments whenever possible. He also enjoys exploring new restaurants, playing sports, and actively participating in his church community. This balance of personal and professional passions helps him maintain a well-rounded and fulfilling life.
