His childhood was spent in Findlay, Ohio, where he played ice hockey and soccer. He was also a four-year goalie on the soccer team at Francis Marion University, and received degrees in biology and chemistry in 2006.
Dr. Runion enjoys life with his cherised family; his wife Samantha, five boys; Braxton, Maddox, Anderson, Oliver and Julian along with two dogs Dolly and Archie. He is very active in sports, fitness and travel with his family. He is a avid learner and adventurer.
